Earthwise Energy Technologies has just finished up an HVAC controls project for the expansion of Providence College’s Science Complex. This included a new 37,000 sf, 4-story addition with renovations to approx. 80,000 sf of existing space.
Chemistry Lab where students perform experiments safely inside a fume hood with the airflows and velocity’s are tightly controlled.

The Complex unites 3 buildings: Albertus Magnus Hall, Hickey Hall, and Sowa Hall. Enhancements included: modernized laboratory space, technology-rich classrooms, a roof-top observatory that doubles as an outdoor classroom, a computer modeling and computational lab, microscopy suite, vivarium, administrative suite, outdoor greenhouse, and new student commons.
All of the laboratories have mechanical redundancy and require tight temperature and humidity control; this was accomplished by our Earthwise team using Johnson Controls FX products.
